Neal Petersen Show Script Cues

Will need DVD play or Beta deck (90 minute size tape) with audio
Will need thunder audio on one computer on continuous loop,
Will need slides in PowerPoint on second computer
Will need strobe lighting control
Will need fogger

DURING OPENING REMARKS: Use your event logo

1a) PERSON INTRODUCES NEAL – actually introduces the video and cues 1st DVD VIDEO CLIP (‘Please welcome…Neal Petersen!): Play “Neal Petersen – No Barriers, Disc 1”: (approximately 90 sec); Introducer will say “first we will see a short video, then meet this most amazing person”, play video.

1b) Neal walks up to stage from back of room carrying the Treasure Chest when video ends. Show lights now needed.

2) Approx 15 mins into keynote - WHEN NEAL PUTS ON RED SAILING JACKET: Play Neal Petersen Background Slides (10 Slides, loops continuously, 1 min/slide auto change, ‘esc’ to end)

3) THUNDER/LIGHTNING CUE 1 (approximately 30 minutes into presentation): Listen for the ‘FIRST ROUND-THE-WORLD RACE’, after leaving Cape Town, Neal hits a STORM: On the word ‘storm’ play the thunder clip and strobe lighting. If fog is incorporated, use light fog for effect. Start thunder loud for impact but then bring the sound down so that it does not drown out Neal’s voice as he speaks. You can leave the thunder on continuous loop and volume off till you need it. When Neal takes off sailing jacket, fade out thunder and lightning.

4) THUNDER/LIGHTNING CUE 2 Second Trans Atlantic race when hit by Russian Freighter. Neal and Gwen delivers yacht to England, begin building fog. “In thick fog, I get hit by a Russian Freighter…) we want thick fog, strobe lighting and soft thunder. When Neal walks off platform, stop making fog. When Neal returns to platform, stop lightning and thunder.

5) THUNDER/LIGHTNING CUE 3 (approximately 50 minutes into presentation): Listen for the ‘SECOND ROUND-THE-WORLD RACE’ & leg 3 of the race to Auckland, New Zealand…he’s approaching Cape Horn and Neal mentions his hero, Harry Mitchell’s death: After he says ‘I encounter a major ‘storm’ play the thunder clip and strobe lighting. If fog is incorporated, use light fog for effect. Start thunder loud for impact but then bring the sound down so that it does not drown out Neal’s voice as he speaks. PREPARE TO IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW WITH DVD. Leave thunder running.

6) Neal immediately says ‘I’ll now show you a short video…’. Play 2nd DVD VIDEO CLIP: “Neal Petersen – No Barriers, Disc 2” (approximately 3 minutes). Start video first, then fade out thunder and lightning.

7) AFTER 2nd VIDEO CLIP: Return to Neal Petersen Background Slides for the remainder of the presentation.
