Progressing in light South wind. Eating cured ham, last bananas & yogurt. Diet is so important here. I want to eat more, but have to pace or else I will run out. Following the meal & liquid plan. What I miss most is ice cream. What would I not give for my favorites...I am better off than Columbus as I have Gwen's meals. She did a great job. We spoke last night. It is hard with us being apart, but technology has made it bearable thanks to KVH & Comsat. Nothing exciting is happening today. Last pm I did catch a palmetto bug. I had to decide if it was worth keeping for something fresh, or to offer it to Sea Gods. Would it be company or pest. Decided I could not eat it, and it would not be good friend. It became an offering. Only seen one school of dolphins so far & they did not come play. A sparrow flew by but did not stop in for a drink. There are no birds out here. In past voyages I always saw birds. If it was not for the radio & satcoms, I would swear that I was alone on this planet. When Phillips Industrial Services removed the paint inside, they used a sand blaster. We used a vacuum truck to get the tons of sand out. I thought we had it all, but when I pump bilge, I find a little sediment. So I am keeping it as it is land earth. Just a little! Out here it is the small things that count now to get through each hour & day. This is what I wished for & now celebrate. I am at home.
